thanks for your love and care - Inspired By Challenge #239

hey crafty friends!

Here today to share a card I made for the latest Inspired By challenge #IB239

I used both the sketch and the photo prompt as inspiration, although had to substitute a different stamp for the lilacs, no lilac stamp in my arsenal ;)

So for my inspiration...
• the black table inspired me to use the Altenew 3D deck planks embossing folder on black cardstock (although it's hard to see in the photo, the black card base is woodgrain!)
• the linen table runner inspired the panel - off white with a stitched die (a clean take on the frayed edge of the table runner)
• the glassware inspired the vellum leaf die cuts
• the place setting inspired the sentiment piece - the white plate, and the silver frame frame was inspired by the silverware

This was a fun one to create!

Supply List:
Altenew: Handpicked bouquet stamps/die
Altenew: 3D embossing folder - deck planks
Altenew Inks: wisteria, lavender fields, hydrangea, deep iris, ultraviolet, frayed leaf, fresh leaf, forest glades
Pink Fresh Studio: Around the Shape: Circles
Pink Fresh Studio: diagonal stitched circle
Pink Fresh Studio: champagne glitter drops
Ranger Distress mica spray - brushed pewter
Other: cardstock: off white, black; vellum; foam tape

Thanks for stopping by!!

hello

Playing along with the latest challenge at Freshly Made Sketches #572

Here is my take on the sketch

I used Altenew's Statement Flower stamp set for this one - I watercolored the flowers and leaves with Altenew watercolors. I fussy cut the flower, then layered and adhered them with foam tape to an embossed leaf paper strip edged with a piece of metallic gold cardstock. The card base is an embossed plaid. The sentiment was embossed in gold, and some gold sequins were added for interest.
I don't watercolor much, I really enjoyed it, but definitely need some practice LOL.

Supply List
Altenew: Statement Flowers stamp; watercolors; brushed gold metallic cardstock
Pink Fresh: Perfect Sentiments stamp and die
Spellbinders: leafy and diamond plaid embossing folders; gold sequins
Brutus Monroe: gilded embossing powder
Other: black, white cardstock; foam tape

Thanks for stopping by!

color throwdown 729

Playing along with the latest challenge over at The Color Throwdown | CTD 729

Here is my take on the color challenge:

I was inspired by the flowers and colors in the inspiration prompt so I turned to my new Altenew Statement Flowers stamp and did some ink blending in reds and pinks. For the gold color, I heat embossed the sentiment in gold and also used an embossing pen to emboss the flower center in gold, and then added some gold pearl accents as well.

Supply List:
Pink Fresh: Sparkling Diamonds cover plate die
Pink Fresh: Scalloped rectangle die
Pink Fresh: Perfect Sentiments stamp and die
Pink Fresh: metallic pearls - matte gold
Altenew: Statement Flowers stamp
Distress Oxide Inks: spun sugar, kitsch flamingo, festive berries, candied apple
Brutus Monroe: gilded embossing powder
Other: white cardstock, foam tape

carry on with courage | Freshly Made Sketches 571

Back with a card made for Freshly Made Sketches #571
Tried my hand at a light, pastel-y palette on this card.

I embossed the butterfly on vellum using gold embossing powder, then adhered that over a die cut butterfly that I ink blended with pastel colored inks (ballet slipper, peach fuzz, coral reef). The card base is a Spellbinders embossed panel. I inked the scalloped rectangle die cut with coral reef ink.  The sentiment was stamped, die cut, then adhered to the panel with foam tape. I added some metallic pearls in matte gold on the card front as well.

Supply List:
Pink Fresh Studio Butterflies stamp/stencil/dies
Pink Fresh Studio Wonderful sentiments - sentiment and die
Pink Fresh Studio stitched scallop rectangles
Pink Fresh Studio metallic pearls - matte gold
Pink Fresh Studio inks: ballet slipper, peach fuzz, coral reef, ocean breeze
Spellbinders embossing folder - orange peel quilt
Pretty Pink Posh simple strips dies
Brutus Monroe embossing powder  - onyx
