warm wishes

Hello!!

So it has been COLD here in Alabama, perfect time to make a wintery card!

I used an old Simon Says Stamp sweater pattern cling background stamp to emboss a panel of Concord & 9th dove cardstock. Added a few snowflakes die cut from white glitter cardstock, a die cut heart, some clear sequins, and a fitting 'think warm' sentiment.

I was inspired by the following challenges:

the card layout was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #619

and the color scheme was inspired by the mood board at Just Us Girls - #710
(specifically, the grey sweater with snowflake pattern and the cat's eyes pop of color)
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

you make me happy

 hello there!

I played along with the latest challenge over at Just Us Girls - Color Week #576 colors yellow, green and gray

I used a 'new to me' stamp set from my stash, Gina K Designs 'You Make Me Happy' set on my card...

I stamped the images from the set onto watercolor paper with Altenew inks (warm sunshine, mango smoothie, evergreen), then used Altenew watercolors to color the images. I don't have dies for the set, so I fussy cut all of the images before adhering them to the card. I added some grey striped patterned paper for the background and some dark grey cardstock for the card base.
This was not a typical card for me, so I really enjoyed stepping outside of my comfort zone with this challenge!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
xoxo
