sending hugs

played along with the latest Fusion challenge

and here's my card....

So glad that I stumbled upon this challenge - both the sketch and the photo inspiration gave me the idea to use my new Pink Fresh Studio Fall Foliage stencils and dies. Lots of stenciling and die cutting here, but I just love the 'garland' look I created with the die cuts!

Supply List:
Pink Fresh Studio: fall foliage stencils and dies; perfect sentiments stamp and die; diagonal stitches plaid cover plate
Distress Oxide Inks: mustard seed, iced spruce, evergreen bough, bundled sage, peeled paint, shabby shutters, brushed corduroy, gathered twigs
Other supplies: Versafine onyx black ink; white cardstock; may arts jute twine; white orchid sequin mix Lucy's Cards; banner die; wonky circle die; foam tape

Thanks so much for dropping in!

thinking of you

hello hello!
Back again after almost a year hiatus from card making... wayyyyyy too long.... I've missed creating!!
But alas, I'm back, and ready to dust off the cobwebs, both literally and figuratively, and embrace this creative escape!

I started with a challenge from one of my favorite card challenge sites.. Fusion

I have always loved their sketch and photo challenges!
As per usual, I took a very literal interpretation of the sketch/photo challenge, minus the coffee theme.
This is my result...

I started with what is probably the oldest piece of patterned paper in my stash LOL and built my card around it.
I stamped the jar and flowers, fussy cut them out, arranged and adhered the pieces to a die cut circle which was adhered over a strip of dark woodgrain paper which was used as a nod to the shelf/tabletop in the inspiration photo.
Hand stamped the sentiment, wrapped some twine around the card front, and adhered an ancient fabric brad (with the brad pieces snipped off) with a glue dot.
I was inspired by the colors and flower element in the inspiration photo.
End result.. a very typical card design for me... simple and literal.

Thanks for stopping by today, appreciate your time!!

good friends

two great challenges, one card...

I used the sketch from the latest Fusion challenge

and the quote concept from the latest Inspired By challenge

And here is my card....

Just a simple, sassy card... used spun sugar distress ink to create the watercolor background panel onto which I stamped the main image. Stamped the quote sentiment with StazOn ink onto vellum and wrapped it around the card front.

Thanks for stopping by!!

holding you in my heart

Played along with the latest Fusion challenge: Let Us Remember
It was a great excuse to use my new Concord & 9th Pretty Poppy stamp set

I stamped the poppy image on watercolor paper and then watercolored the poppy.. skills that I still need to develop LOL!!
Thanks for stopping by!
