Inspired By: spring is here

Another fabulous challenge over at Inspired By.. this time the inspiration is "Spring is Here"

and there is a fantastic sketch to play with too...

I was inspired by both, and here's my card....

First of all, I absolutely LOVE the colors in the inspiration photo... 

As per usual, I use the patterns, colors, and textures in the photo to select patterned papers from my (vast!) stash... 

So it's pretty self explanatory then why I chose what I did:

the gray/white striped paper was inspired by the shutters and the linen

the floral paper was inspired by the linen

the flowers were inspired by the flowers in the basket

and the burlap ribbon was inspired by the texture of the basket.

The softness of the card begged for a simple, serene sentiment, which I stamped on a die cut shape.

Loved making this spring-like card, so glad to have found the inspiration!!
